The old wisdom “Frankenstein was the doctor, not the monster” is tired out. Frankenstein's creature was no monster, he was the victim of a crazed scientist with a god complex and complete disregard for quality of life. Two hundred years after Mary Shelly’s warning that scientific progress is dangerous without a moral framework to restrain it we find ourselves on a dying planet with nuclear warheads and artificial super-intelligence posing imminent danger. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun! The Amber Bugs, Frankenstein was the monster is as playful as it is apocalyptic. The track utilises a sonic palette that references the 1930’s Frankenstein movie alongside a tongue-and-cheek poke at the most kitsch of radio drama and musical adaptations.
Rat vs Mole - Guitar TAB
For you guitar gods out there. This one is kind of challenging. I think of it as "A minor cooked 4 ways". That double harmonic minor riff in the verses is probably the most fun bit.
